This project included 3,500 m2 of new construction and 2,000 m2 of renovations. It required that we accommodate the needs of a working conference centre during construction, including noise control when necessary. Given the high profile of the project, it was important not to disrupt scheduled activities. Marshall-Lee had to shore a portion of Jasper Avenue from beneath for two months. It was also partly supported on the buttresses of the existing Halls ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ until the structure steel could be installed. Marshall-Lee also removed the roof from these halls in order to complete the Hall ‘D’ addition.
